While Australia geared up for New Year, Covid 19 variant omicron appeared; 2021 rolled into 2022 without the usual full stop. Cases increased, everyone knew someone who had Covid 19. Languishing became a way of life. I made these images over the course of the unseasonably wet and isolated summer. All images shot at 50mm; in square format to replicate the usual Instagram photos of summer.
